在测试版中有一个显示器和显卡设置工具
实现了宽屏显示，我再升级到Ubuntu正式版后这一实用的工具又没有了，可惜啊，不知道Ubuntu的开发人员是怎么想的。
后来论坛的网友给了我 一个很好的答案，其实只要：
sudo apt-get install displayconfig-gtk 安装它
sudo displayconfig-gtk 运行它
要是早些知道多好，走了不少弯路啊！

]]>我下载了ogg格式的版本，用《暴风影音2007完美版》可以正常播放。后来下载了一个最新版本的《暴风影音3.6》，试试看有没什么改进。结果很令人失望，无法播放 ogg 格式的，并且仍然不支持音频设备的选择，而《暴风影音2007完美版》是可以的。对于像我这样安装双声卡，把视频输出到电视上看的用户来说，《暴风影音3.6》就是一个垃圾！
安装双声卡有什么好处？你可以一边把视频输出到电视上看，一边在电脑上听音乐、看另一部影片或玩游戏等就不会出现声音混在一起的事了。

所以我们还是使用标准的软件包升级方式进行升级比较妥当，本文以Ubuntu为例升级为最新的Firefox 3.0RC1。

Ubuntu下升级软件一定是使用APT更新的方式，我们升级默认的Firefox 3.0Beta5至Firefox 3.0RC1也是用这种“添加第三方源”的方式。
你可能会有顾虑，这个第三方源是否稳定、可靠。请放心，这第三方源即来自Ubuntu开发社区──Launchpad，是开发者们打包的。
请在终端下输入以下命令，添加新源：
sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list
然后将下面一行粘贴进去
deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/fta/ubuntu hardy main
保存以后，执行下面两命令即可将Firefox 3Beta5升级至Firefox 3RC1，包括GNOME软件包和xulrunner软件包。
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
升级后，除了语言包有问题，其他一切正常。语言包可以访问以下地址进行安装：
ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/3.0rc1/linux-i686/xpi/
我的Firefox 3RC1截图，5月25日编译的。RC1的Awesomebar反应比Beta5快多了，标签也是，还改进了一些动画效果。
号外：加了这个源后，你可以试试：sudo apt-get install firefox-3.1 firefox-4.0，^^
